System Analyst (Almaty, Kazakhstan)

Summary

Andersen is hiring a System Analyst in Almaty to support core banking services, delivering standardized solutions that enable scalable digital products and seamless integration across the bank’s technology landscape.

The customer is a large financial institution serving millions of retail and corporate clients. It combines a broad physical presence with strong investment in digital platforms, mobile solutions, data infrastructure, cybersecurity, and open integrations. Technology is central to improving customer experience and scaling modern banking services.

The project is focused on developing, evolving, and supporting the bank’s core business services that form the foundational layer of its technology and product landscape. The team delivers standardized corporate banking solutions that enable other teams to build additional functionality without interacting directly with underlying core processes.

Responsibilities

• Identifying products and business needs.
• Developing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Analyzing product use cases and tasks.
• Performing system analysis for the development of new APIs and services.
• Creating business process descriptions in BPMN.
• Defining and managing the project/task backlog.
• Participating in project communications with clients, including integration activities.
• Communicating with banking, IT and business departments.

Requirements

• Experience as a System Analyst for 2+ years.
• Understanding of integration principles, including HTTP, REST, and SOAP.
• Ability to work with XML, JSON, UML, BPMN, DBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL – basic skills), Postman, and Swagger.
• Experience collaborating with business units and translating requirements into technical specifications.
• Knowledge of UML, BPMN, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Experience working with message queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
