Andersen is seeking a Junior QA Engineer to support testing and quality assurance of scalable travel platforms, ensuring reliable booking, finance, and partner management solutions.
The customer is a technology-driven company in the travel sector, providing a comprehensive booking and procurement platform for industry professionals. Its solutions support large transaction volumes, integrate with a wide network of partners, and offer tools that streamline operations and enhance productivity. Focused on innovation and scalability, the customer continues to expand its ecosystem, strengthen partnerships, and improve data accuracy to deliver a modern digital infrastructure for the travel value chain.
The project is centered on the evolution of a suite of interconnected travel platforms that support booking, CRM, finance, and supplier content management. These systems enable advisors and internal teams to manage itineraries, transactions, and partner data efficiently while ensuring seamless integration and real-time collaboration across the ecosystem.
The position assumes 13 to 21 CET work schedule.
Responsibilities
- Performing functional and basic regression testing of backend and API-driven systems.
- Creating and executing API test cases using Postman.
- Validating request/response structures, status codes, and basic authentication scenarios.
- Working with JSON payloads (basic understanding of XML is a plus).
- Writing simple SQL queries to validate data in the database.
- Assisting in log analysis and basic issue investigation.
- Reviewing requirements together with the team and asking clarifying questions.
- Documenting test cases, bug reports, and test results in a clear and structured way.
- Collaborating with the development team in an Agile/Scrum environment.
Requirements
- Experience as a QA Engineer for 1+ year.
- Basic hands-on experience in API testing.
- Experience working with Postman (collections, environments, variables).
- Basic SQL knowledge (SELECT, WHERE, JOIN).
- Understanding of REST principles and HTTP methods.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work in a team and take feedback constructively.
- Level of English – from Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Basic understanding of API automation (e.g., Postman tests, Newman).
- Familiarity with Git.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD concepts.
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Experience working with logs or monitoring tools.
