BI Developer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a BI Developer for a project developing and maintaining reporting solutions for insurance services platforms, supporting data analysis, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.

Our customer is a world leader in insurance and B2B2C support, which offers global solutions that span international health and life insurance, travel insurance, cars, and their service. The company is dedicated to delivering world-class, agile, and sustainable IT solutions, driving full-spectrum digitalization.

The project is focused on insurance services for vehicles and real estate, including solutions for monitoring and tracking their condition remotely. The team is responsible for the maintenance and development of reporting solutions that support data analysis, system transparency, and decision-making across the platform.

Responsibilities

• Owning end-to-end BI reporting for key business domains, from requirements gathering to delivery of dashboards and KPIs.
• Designing and maintaining scalable BI solutions, data models, and reporting standards.
• Leading and executing the migration from Looker to a new BI/reporting tool, including inventory, redesign, testing, and user enablement.
• Developing and optimizing complex dashboards and reports based on large datasets.
• Collaborating with data engineering on data models, pipelines, data quality, and workflow orchestration using Airflow.
• Using Git-based workflows for version control of SQL, data models, and BI artifacts.
• Translating complex business questions into clear analytical approaches and actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
• Ensuring data accuracy and consistency across reports, and drive continuous improvement of BI processes.
• Mentoring and supporting other analysts, promoting best practices in analytics and visualization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a BI Analyst or Data Analyst in data-driven environments for 4+ years.
• Strong expertise in data analysis, reporting, and dashboard development.
• Hands-on experience with Airflow and GitHub as part of the data workflow.
• Experience working with BI tools (e.g., Looker or similar) and building actionable dashboards.
• Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into reporting solutions and KPIs.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to work with large datasets.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present insights.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Exposure Kafka and general data engineering concepts.
• Experience with data pipelines and streaming data.
• Familiarity with modern data stacks and cloud-based data platforms.
• Experience participating in or supporting BI tool migrations.
