Data Migration Engineer

Andersen is hiring a Data Migration Engineer for a project developing an enterprise platform that streamlines meeting management, collaboration, and secure document handling.

The customer is an international company delivering professional and technology-enabled solutions that support effective collaboration, structured communication, and operational efficiency for organizations. The project is focused on developing an enterprise meeting management platform that streamlines scheduling, collaboration, and document management. It enables organizations to improve communication, productivity, and data security through efficient coordination of meetings, tasks, and related processes.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines with a strong focus on idempotent design, ensuring reliable execution, data integrity, and repeatability across all stages of processing.
• Reverse‑engineering legacy SQL Server schemas, analyzing existing structures, and performing comprehensive data profiling to identify inconsistencies, gaps, and opportunities for optimization.
• Building automation scripts and data transformation logic using .NET/C#, Python, and PowerShell, ensuring robust, scalable, and maintainable data workflows.
• Designing and orchestrating data pipelines in Azure, leveraging services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Database Migration Service (DMS), and other cloud‑based ETL components.
• Analyzing current and target data models, defining migration strategy and scope, and identifying key risks to support a phased and controlled delivery approach.
• Collaborating with cross‑functional teams to troubleshoot data issues, validate transformation logic, and ensure alignment with business requirements.
• Producing and maintaining technical documentation, including pipeline diagrams, transformation rules, migration plans, and operational guides.
• Ensuring adherence to best practices in data engineering, automation, performance tuning, and error‑handling strategies.
• Communicating effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders, presenting findings, risks, and recommendations in a clear and structured manner.

Requirements

• Experience in ETL/ELT pipeline development with idempotent scripting for 3+ years.
• Expertise in SQL Server, reverse-engineering legacy schemas, and data profiling.
• Proficiency in .NET/C# and/or Python, and PowerShell for automation.
• Hands-on experience with Azure (Data Factory, DMS) and orchestration tools.
• Ability to analyze data models, define migration scope, and mitigate risks in a phased delivery model.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
