Andersen is hiring a VB.NET Developer for a project maintaining and enhancing enterprise business applications while supporting ongoing product development.
The customer is a global technology company that develops and delivers innovative solutions for industrial enterprises. The organization supports businesses in improving operational efficiency, reliability, and process optimization through modern technologies and engineering expertise. With an international presence, the customer works across multiple industries, helping organizations advance their digital transformation initiatives and enhance overall business performance.
The project is focused on maintaining and enhancing a business application, ensuring platform stability and delivering new features. It includes end-to-end ownership of the codebase, integration with external engineering tools, and supporting a continuous product release cycle.
Responsibilities
- Taking ownership of the existing VB.NET / WPF desktop application.
- Investigating, reproducing and fixing reported bugs (DB connectivity, project save/load, grid rendering).
- Developing and shiping new features per engineering team requests.
- Maintain and improve AutoCAD plugin integration (in progress); prepare groundwork for EPLAN.
- Participating in quarterly release planning and delivery.
Requirements
- Experience with VB.NET in production environments for 3+ years.
- Strong WPF — layouts, bindings, custom controls.
- Deep understanding of MVVM pattern in practice.
- Experience with DevExpress WPF controls (grids, editors).
- Understanding of .NET Framework 4.x constraints and specifics.
- Working with TFS (check-in/check-out workflow).
- Experience with Excel Interop for data import and export.
- Ability to read and navigate a legacy codebase independently.
- Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.
Desired skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure or similar cloud technologies; experience integrating with Azure DevOps.
- BMC Helix and/or ITIL certifications — valued, but hands-on experience matters more; candidates without formal certification will be considered.
- Exposure to BMC's AI capabilities.
- Some experience of the insurance industry or other regulated environments.
