Automation Engineer (Siemens)

Summary

Andersen is hiring an Automation Engineer (Siemens) for a project modernizing industrial automation systems and enhancing efficiency, reliability, and performance of production operations.

The project is focused on the automation and modernization of steel and metals production processes. It includes designing and validating industrial control solutions, integrating PLC/SCADA systems with manufacturing and enterprise platforms, and supporting commissioning activities to ensure reliable and efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Providing end-to-end automation support across PLC, SCADA, and Level 2 touchpoints.
• Coordinating and troubleshooting interfaces (tags/alarms/handshakes) and cross-system issues.
• Supporting FAT/SAT/commissioning; preparing checklists/test cases; participating in customer validation.
• Rapid troubleshooting across communications, sequences, visualization, and data flow.

Requirements

• Practical experience in both PLC and SCADA/HMI for 3+ years.
• Understanding of L1/L2/L3 and typical industrial integration scenarios
• Siemens ecosystem experience in real projects
• Strong diagnostics and commissioning experience -Steel/metals experience
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Lead/owner experience for commissioning/startup phases.
• Understanding of OT networks (segmentation, routing basics) and infrastructure.
