DevOps Engineer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Europe for a project developing mission-critical platforms that improve operational efficiency, coordination, and real-time decision-making.

The customer is a technology provider specializing in mission-critical communication and control center solutions for public safety, transportation, healthcare, and industrial organizations. It develops software platforms and operational tools that support real-time coordination, emergency response, and efficient decision-making. With extensive industry experience, the company focuses on reliability, security, and innovation in complex operational environments.

The project is focused on developing a resource management and dispatch platform for emergency response services. It aims to optimize resource allocation, improve coordination and deployment efficiency, and reduce response times through data-driven planning and real-time operational support.

Responsibilities

• Managing system setup, configuration, and optimization of IT infrastructure.
• Developing and optimizing continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Automating tasks and ensuring system health using tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ArgoCD.
• Deploying and managing containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Troubleshooting to ensure system reliability.
• Developing templates and establishing best practices for CI/CD.
• Writing/improving pipelines in GitLab CI.
• Writing/improving Helm-Charts.
• Preparing configs for deploying new environments (Argo CD config repo).
• Maintaining existing environments (>10).
• Troubleshooting pipelines or K8s apps.

Requirements

• Experience as a DevOps Engineer for 5+ years.
• Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automation tools (Ansible, ArgoCD).
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm for orchestration and deployment.
• Expertise in monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and alerting systems like PagerDuty.
• Experience in configuring a centralized logging and monitoring system using ELK stack for efficient data tracking and analysis.
• Hands-on experience with databases (e.g., MariaDB, MySQL, Liquibase) for deployment and management.
• Strong Linux command-line skills and proficiency in Bash scripting.
• Experience working with on-prem Kubernetes, AWS cloud.
• Level of English – from Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with LogicalDOC and Chaos Mesh.
• Experience with RabbitMQ queue.
• Experience working with Testkube.
