Java Developer

Summary

Andersen is hiring a Java Developer for a project building a mobile banking application with secure transactions, real-time cashback features, and financial service integrations.

Our customer is a large international technology organization operating in the digital infrastructure domain. It develops and maintains high-load platforms that process and manage significant volumes of data across multiple regions. The engineering landscape includes distributed systems, cloud-based environments, system integrations, and advanced security practices, with a focus on reliability, scalability, and continuous platform evolution.

The project is a new mobile banking application focused on delivering a seamless cashback experience for users. It includes secure transaction processing, real-time cashback tracking, and integration with partner services and financial APIs.

The role also requires readiness for long-term business travel.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services for banking and financial products.
• Developing scalable microservices and integration solutions.
• Designing and implementing REST APIs and asynchronous integrations.
• Working with Oracle and PostgreSQL databases, including performance optimization.
• Implementing event-driven solutions using Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Participating in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical design activities.
• Supporting production environments and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Collaborating with analysts, architects, QA, and DevOps teams throughout the SDLC.

Requirements

• Experience in backend development for 5+ years.
• Experience in banking, fintech, payments, or financial services.
• Strong proficiency in Java (Java 11/17+) and Spring Boot.
• Experience with microservice architecture.
• Strong experience with Oracle and PostgreSQL.
• Hands-on experience with Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs.
• Understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Strong SQL skills and database performance optimization experience.
• Experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of software design patterns and clean code principles.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with Kotlin or Go.
• Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (ELK, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Experience with high-load and mission-critical systems.
• Knowledge of payment processing, transaction management, card systems, or financial integrations.
