Software Architect

Andersen is hiring a Software Architect to design scalable enterprise solutions, define architecture strategies, and drive the delivery of secure, high-performance software systems.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing scalable, secure, and reliable technical solutions that meet business requirements.
• Collaborating with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams to define architecture strategy and technology stack.
• Analyzing existing systems and proposing improvements to enhance performance, maintainability, and scalability.
• Developing architectural blueprints, technical documentation, and integration guidelines.
• Ensuring alignment of solutions with enterprise architecture standards and best practices.
• Supporting pre-sales activities, including technical presentations, solution design, and RFP responses.
• Evaluating new technologies and tools, and providing recommendations for adoption.
• Guiding development teams throughout the implementation phase and performing architecture reviews.
• Managing risks, ensuring compliance with security and regulatory standards, and overseeing solution lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Commercial software development experience for 7+ years.
• Experience as a Software Architect or Solution Architect for 3+ years.
• Strong hands-on experience with Java and Spring Boot (or .NET as an additional advantage).
• Proven experience designing enterprise-level distributed systems and microservices architectures.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, design patterns, and architectural best practices
• Hands on skills of software architecture development methodology and creation of architect artefacts: ADD, ATAM, C4, ADR.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience reviewing technical solutions, mentoring development teams, and making architectural decisions.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
• Level of French – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar).
• Experience with observability and monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience in performance optimization and scalability.
• AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications.
