DevOps Engineer in Germany

Summary

Andersen is hiring a DevOps Engineer in Germany for a project developing secure DevOps services and improving scalable software delivery in hybrid environments.

Our customer is a large infrastructure organization focused on operating and enhancing complex, business-critical systems. The company invests in digital technologies, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and decision-making across large-scale processes. With a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, it develops scalable technology capabilities that support long-term organizational growth and evolving operational needs.

The project is focused on supporting and evolving centralized DevOps services in on-premise and hybrid environments. It aims to build a secure, compliant, and efficient DevOps toolchain, improve integration testing practices, ensure regulatory alignment, and enable scalable, reliable software delivery.

Responsibilities

• Designing and evolving DevOps platform architecture (on-prem and hybrid).
• Defining and improving DevOps operating model.
• Implementing and supporting CI/CD pipelines and toolchain integrations.
• Developing integration, system, and end-to-end testing patterns.
• Ensuring security, compliance, and regulatory alignment (including NIS2).
• Translating regulatory requirements into architecture standards and guardrails.
• Rationalizing and modernizing the DevOps toolchain.
• Implementing quality gates, monitoring, and observability practices.
• Supporting internal application teams in reliable software delivery at scale.
• Producing reference architectures and roadmap deliverables.
• Preparing documentation and performing knowledge transfer.

Requirements

• Experience in DevOps Engineering / Platform / Infrastructure 7+ years.
• Proven experience designing on-prem DevOps platforms.
• Experience in regulated environments.
• Strong expertise in Azure DevOps Server (TFS On-Prem).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Experience with integration, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Knowledge of security and compliance implementation.
• Strong architectural and independent delivery capability.
• Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
• Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.

Desired skills

• Experience with NIS2, ISO 27001 or similar standards.
• Experience with hybrid cloud architectures.
• Toolchain rationalization and modernization experience.
• Experience with monitoring and observability solutions.
• Experience developing reference architectures.
• Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.
