Andersen is hiring a Software Architect (Java) in Germany for a project developing a scalable energy platform supporting digital transformation and regulatory-driven innovation.
Our customer is a large infrastructure organization focused on operating and enhancing complex, business-critical systems. The company invests in digital technologies, automation, and data-driven solutions to improve operational efficiency, reliability, and decision-making across large-scale processes. With a strong focus on innovation and continuous improvement, it develops scalable technology capabilities that support long-term organizational growth and evolving operational needs.
The project is focused on developing and evolving a balancing services procurement platform that supports tendering, provider data management, and operational data processing. It aims to ensure efficient procurement of balancing services while adapting to regulatory requirements, German TSO initiatives, and international energy market cooperation.
Responsibilities
- Designing and validating software architecture for a critical on-premises platform.
- Defining architecture standards and ensuring compliance.
- Validating software components and integrations.
- Producing and maintaining architectural documentation.
- Ensuring compliance with ISMS / BSI KRITIS requirements.
- Supporting integration across platform products.
- Coaching and training development team members.
Requirements
- Experience in Java development for 7+ years (Java 8–21).
- Strong expertise in the Spring ecosystem (Boot, Data, Cloud, Security).
- Hands-on experience with Hibernate and Oracle SQL.
- Strong knowledge of OAuth2 and OpenID Connect (OIDC) security implementation.
- Experience with Camunda and Hazelcast IMDG.
- Experience with integration technologies, including REST, AMQP, gRPC, OpenAPI (OAS), and SFTP.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, and Swagger/OpenAPI.
- Experience with CI/CD and DevOps tools (Git, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo, Bitbucket).
- Experience in software architecture design.
- Level of English – from Upper-Intermediate+ and above.
- Level of German – from Upper-Intermediate and above.
Desired skills
- Experience with SQL Server and multi-database environments.
- Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, JSP.
- Familiarity with Octopus Deploy.
- Experience with Ant Design and Highcharts.
- Experience with Camunda Cockpit and Hazelcast Management tools.
- Experience working in Scrum environments.
- Experience with critical infrastructure / regulated industries (e.g., energy sector).
