Summary

Andersen is hiring a Backend Developer (C#/.NET) in the EU to build scalable backend solutions, develop cloud-native applications, and contribute to modern enterprise software projects.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining backend services using C#/.NET.
  • Designing and implementing REST APIs and backend integrations.
  • Contributing to software architecture and technical design decisions.
  • Integrating applications with Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
  • Working with SQL Server, Azure SQL, and, where applicable, Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Developing unit tests and contributing to automated testing and overall code quality.
  • Performing code reviews, troubleshoot issues, optimizing performance, and reducing technical debt.
  • Participating in the full software development lifecycle, from requirements gathering through deployment and maintenance.
  • Collaborating closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, QA engineers, and cross-functional development teams.
  • Building cloud-native services, CI/CD pipelines, and integrations with data and AI platforms for cloud-focused projects.
  • Enhancing and maintaining desktop applications, implementing algorithm-driven features, and developing high-performance, testable software components for desktop-focused projects.

Requirements

  • Strong experience with C#, .NET / .NET Core / ASP.NET Core for 3+ years.
  • Hands-on experience designing and developing REST APIs and web services.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL Server, JSON, and XML.
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), OOP, SOLID principles, and design patterns.
  • Experience with unit testing, test automation, and Git.
  • Experience working in Agile environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Azure Service Bus, Azure Key Vault, and Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipelines, deployments, release flows, and integrations.
  • Strong understanding of Azure cloud architecture and cloud-native application design.
  • Experience with Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure monitoring/observability.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep).
  • Level of English – from Intermediate+ and above.

Desired skills

  • Experience with Azure Data Lake, Azure Machine Learning, Event Grid, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure AI, and data pipelines.
  • Experience with Azure VM administration.
  • Experience with Angular 2+.
  • Knowledge of Python, Machine Learning, or AI algorithms.
  • Experience with desktop application development using WPF or WinForms.
  • Understanding of DevOps culture and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) practices.
  • Experience with people management or technical leadership.
  • Experience building analytics or data-intensive systems.
